San Diego Design Week 2026

San Diego Design Week is a week-long design festival in San Diego, organized by the nonprofit Design Forward Alliance since 2020 and built around daily themes at venues around the city alongside distributed events in studios and shops.

The programme is structured around five disciplines, typically covering health and wellbeing, fashion, digital design, architecture and multimedia experiences, delivered through exhibitions, workshops and talks at museums and partner institutions across the city. Recent editions have featured dozens of events over roughly six days, with a stated aim of opening the design community’s doors to the public and showcasing creative work across disciplines. The festival reflects San Diego’s growing design scene and its ties to institutions such as the UC San Diego Design Lab.
