DesignTO Festival 2026

DesignTO Festival is Toronto’s annual design festival, founded in 2011 as the Toronto Design Offsite Festival and rebranded as DesignTO in 2018, running each January with over 100 free exhibitions and events staged across venues throughout the city.

Programming includes the White Out exhibition, TO DO Talks, the Outside the Box showcase of work from correspondents across the Americas, the Come Up To My Room alternative design exhibition, and the juried and people’s-choice TO DO Awards. Since its first year, when it featured just seven events, the festival has grown to work with thousands of designers and draw large public audiences, becoming one of Canada’s largest design celebrations. It focuses on Canadian design, with particular emphasis on emerging, independent and alternative practices.
