Design Week Lagos 2026

Design Week Lagos is a design festival presented by the African Design Network, running in Lagos, Nigeria since 2017 and combining exhibitions, trade showcases, talks and training around the city’s National Theatre and a range of galleries, showrooms, studios, museums and cultural institutions.

The festival’s flagship exhibitions include the Made by Design Show, a furniture and interiors trade showcase, and the Design & Innovation Exhibition, a platform for emerging talent and experimental work. Its 2026 edition is themed Making a New Africa, with the sub-theme From Material to Market: Designing for Scale focused on helping designers move from concept to commercially viable production, and included a preview showcase at Milan’s Salone del Mobile ahead of the Lagos program. Design Week Lagos positions itself as a platform for African design and cultural exchange, connecting local talent with international audiences and industry partners.
