Zurich Design Weeks 2026

Zurich Design Weeks is Switzerland’s largest design festival, launched in 2022 by Design Biennale Zürich and Archithema Verlag together with the city’s development department, and now run annually each September as an association-led event headquartered at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. It spreads across more than 40 locations throughout the city, from the museum’s own galleries to independent studios, showrooms and public spaces such as the Botanical Garden.

The festival combines exhibitions, installations, guided tours, workshops and talks exploring Swiss and international design, with recent editions foregrounding collaboration and circular design under mottos such as TEAM UP. It runs alongside partner initiatives including Design Biennale Zürich, neue räume, Digital Festival and HackZurich, and operates a Swiss Design Lounge as a central information hub. Visitors can expect established Swiss brands unveiling new work alongside emerging designers presenting experimental projects across the city’s museums, studios and cultural institutions.
