Helsinki Design Week is the largest design festival in the Nordic countries, held annually in Helsinki every September since 2005. Produced by Luovi Productions, it has grown from a small local initiative into a citywide programme spanning venues across Helsinki’s design district, Arabianranta and other creative neighborhoods, alongside museums, studios and public spaces throughout the city.

The festival’s programme runs to around 250 events each year, including exhibitions, talks, open studios, pop-up shops and installations covering product, spatial, graphic and service design. It reflects Helsinki’s status as a UNESCO City of Design, bringing together local and international designers, students and the public to explore Nordic design culture, with participants ranging from established studios and universities to independent makers across the city.
