Anchorage Design Week 2026

Date

October 17–25, 2026

Location:

Eindhoven, Netherlands

Anchorage Design Week is an annual design gathering held in Anchorage, Alaska, running since around 2016 and based primarily at the Anchorage Museum, timed each year to overlap with the city’s Fur Rendezvous winter celebrations.

The event focuses on place-based design, exploring how design can address the particular challenges and opportunities of Alaska and other northern regions, through workshops, talks, visual installations and community conversations. It brings together local designers, architects, students and residents alongside visiting practitioners, and is a member of the World Design Weeks network, which connects design-week organizers internationally. As a regional rather than commercial event, it emphasizes community dialogue and creative culture over trade exhibitions or product launches, with recent editions drawing on themes of resilience, place and Northern identity to shape its talks and installations.
