Nairobi Design Week 2026

Nairobi Design Week is an annual design platform held in Nairobi each March, founded and directed by Adrian Jankowiak and run as part of the World Design Weeks network of international design festivals. It brings together Kenyan and international designers, makers and creative communities through a citywide programme of exhibits, pavilions and collaborative projects held across the city.
Each edition is built around a theme, such as 2026’s “Let’s Be Human,” which frames design around shared human experience rather than pure aesthetics. Visitors encounter exhibitions and pavilions showcasing Kenyan and global design innovation, alongside speaker talks, workshops and community-facing programming. The festival positions itself as an inclusive platform for the region’s creative industries, drawing exhibitors, speakers, sponsors and collaborators from across design, craft and manufacturing sectors.
