Berlin Design Week 2026

Berlin Design Week is an annual design festival launched in 2024 by Berlin Design e.V., held each spring across studios, galleries, universities and partner venues throughout the German capital. Rather than centering on one district, it activates locations citywide, with organizers publishing routes that let visitors navigate the programme by neighborhood and time of day.

The festival’s programme includes exhibitions, talks, presentations, workshops and networking events framed around design’s role in addressing social, technological and ecological issues, including a dedicated Design + Science platform for interdisciplinary collaboration. Signature formats include Berlin Design Nights, when studios open their doors over two evenings; Design Pool, a two-day trade fair and market; Berlin Design Day, built around keynote talks; and the NEXT exhibition, spotlighting emerging European designers.
