Design Marin is a new regional design programme launched in 2026 by Design Bay Area, the nonprofit behind San Francisco Design Week, as part of its Year of Design initiative extending the organization’s reach into Marin County. Its inaugural edition brings a series of events for design and architecture professionals to venues across Marin’s towns and neighborhoods.
Programming spans panel discussions, open studios, architecture tours, workshops, receptions and pop-up exhibitions covering interiors, architecture, landscape, lighting and art, organized by neighborhood so attendees can explore several offerings in one area. Hosted by local studios, galleries and design-forward businesses with limited ticketing per event, Design Marin is intentionally intimate in scale, aiming to build a lasting creative community and design culture in Marin County alongside Design Bay Area’s other regional festivals.
