Open – Design Week Frankfurt RhineMain 2026

Open – Design Week Frankfurt RhineMain is the flagship public programme of World Design Capital Frankfurt RhineMain 2026, opening more than 150 studios, companies, universities and institutions across the region to visitors over ten days each June.

Structured around four Focus Days spotlighting Frankfurt, Offenbach, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden in turn, plus seven thematic Spaces built around topics such as sustainability, gender-sensitive design, circular construction and innovation, the programme lets visitors step into studios and workplaces not normally open to the public and meet the people behind the work. It forms part of the New European Bauhaus Festival, situating the Frankfurt RhineMain design week within a wider European network for design, innovation and social change, and emphasizing design as it is actually practiced across crafts, creative industries, research, technology and manufacturing.
