Bucharest Design Festival 2026

Bucharest Design Festival is a new Bucharest-wide design festival whose inaugural edition ran for over a month in 2026, bringing design into more than 120 spaces across the Romanian capital.

Organized around the intersections of design, city and people, the inaugural festival combined exhibitions, installations, talks and public events staged in galleries, shops, cultural institutions and public spaces throughout Bucharest, drawing tens of thousands of visitors. It connected established design names with new and emerging creative formats under a single shared programme, positioning the festival as a platform for both the city’s professional design community and general public engagement with design. As a first edition, Bucharest Design Festival set out to establish itself as a recurring city-wide event on Romania’s cultural calendar.
