DesignMarch is Iceland’s leading design festival, established in 2009 and organized by the Iceland Design Centre each spring in Reykjavik. It opens with DesignTalks, a keynote lecture day held at the Harpa concert hall, before expanding into a citywide programme of exhibitions, talks and workshops staged across galleries, studios and public venues throughout the capital.
The festival covers a broad span of design disciplines, from fashion and furniture to architecture, food and product design, and has hosted international speakers including Bjarke Ingels and MoMA’s Paola Antonelli alongside leading Icelandic designers. Each edition builds around an annual theme, 2025’s was “The Source,” and past editions have featured over 100 events. DesignMarch functions as both a showcase for Icelandic design and a platform for dialogue between local and international creative communities.
