Barcelona Design Week 2026

Barcelona Design Week is Barcelona’s principal annual design event, established in 2006 by the Barcelona Design Centre, now known as the Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation, in partnership with Barcelona City Council, FAD and the Museu del Disseny. Held each autumn across venues throughout the city, it is part of the World Design Weeks network of nearly 40 design festivals worldwide.

Each edition is organized around a curatorial theme, 2022’s “Wayfindings” explored design as a tool for navigating complexity, and the programme brings together exhibitions, talks and public activities connecting emerging and established designers with the wider public. The festival positions design as a means of addressing social challenges as much as a showcase for new work, reflecting Barcelona’s status as a UNESCO City of Design and a longstanding center of the international design conversation.
