Dutch Design Week is one of Europe’s largest design festivals, held annually in Eindhoven, Netherlands since its inauguration in 2002 by the Dutch Design Foundation, running for nine days each October across roughly 120 venues throughout the city.

The festival centers on the Klokgebouw in the former Philips factory complex of Strijp-S, alongside venues such as Design Academy Eindhoven and the Eindhoven University of Technology’s Faculty of Industrial Design. Visitors can see exhibitions, graduate presentations, studio visits, workshops, and talks from thousands of participants, alongside DDW Music performances at venues like Effenaar. The festival hosts the Dutch Design Awards, one of the country’s most prominent design prizes, and since 2012 has organized each edition around a distinct thematic concept. Dutch Design Week has grown to attract over 350,000 visitors, making it a leading platform for Dutch and international design talent.
